As a professional in the window industry for over 20 years, I was frustrated by consistent customer dissatisfaction with the lack of durability and the complex nature of traditional window screens. The replacement rates were overwhelming, and the complaints were non-stop. Traditional window screen technology is over 100 years old, and I knew there had to be a better way.

In 2012 I took to my garage and started experimenting with new screen materials and designs. People were tired of bent aluminum frames, complicated hardware and chipped paint, so I decided to create a screen with no aluminum, no hardware, and no paint. Two years later, I emerged from my garage with what I called my “duct-tape and bubble gum” prototype for FlexScreen – the world’s first and only flexible window screen.

Since that day, I could never have imagined the notoriety and acceptance that FlexScreen has received in the marketplace. To date, we have sold millions of units and won multiple awards, including Window and Door Magazine’s Crystal Achievement Award – Most Innovative Window Product, and Door and Window Market Magazine’s Reader’s Choice Award – Favorite Window Product for the last 3 years in a row.
